You are welcome. I actually like the look of WPtouch better but I think the functionality is about the same. I have not stopped carrying around a laptop in my travels but I spent way more time on iPhone than the laptop these days.

Relevant post Mike, and thanks for showing HR Think Tank - much appreciated! In looking at this, I might have to switch over to WPTouch, really like the look of that.

Towards the end of my road warrior days, an interesting thing happened: I stopped carrying a laptop all together. This meant I was 100% reliant on my blackberry, and even if the browser was as good then as they are now, I probably wouldn't have spent much time on the blogs if they weren't mobile enabled.

Great message here for vendors and really any company out there - mobile sites are a great idea. People are increasingly mobile and a focus on having your site, or even better your apps, work seamlessly with mobile technology will be a significant competitive advantage.

I love having the mobile access for my blog - great reminder for how easy it is for the great blogs that don't have it already!

I like Joan's comment. Come to DTW. Then the @pdxmikek fan club can meet and we can hang at the cottage with our dogs and have some serious fun. And talk about plugins. :)

It's interesting, isn't it, that the user experience for the hand (and eye?) is more important than the user experience for the brain? Looks like our brains are going to have to catch-up!

I think I both envy and pity the young. They will be completely adapted to computer/phone reading and comprehension (envy) but miss the enjoyment of paper (pity).

Funny how things change. I posted some tweets to links with old advertisements for office equipment. The ads talked about the amazing productivity gains to be had from.......a pen! An adding machine! A water bubbler!

Yes, be wise. Please be wise. I can't tell you how many people I see these days with a mobile device doing much much more than using it as a cell phone.

Excellent question on concentration. In reality I actually concentrate the most when reading hard copy, followed by computer and then iPhone. However, as I spent more and more time keeping up via my iPhone, I am slowly starting to prefer using my iPhone. In fact, I probably spend more time reading tweets via TweetDeck on my iPhone than TweetDeck or HootSuite on my computer. The ability to scroll through tweets or blogs post by swiping my finger up and down on my iPhone is a far better user experience than using a mouse to scroll. The touch interface in my iPhone has dramatically changed my "workflow" to be less hard copy time and less computer time.
